Absolutely. Many of our adult students start with a fear of the water, and we are committed to helping you overcome this in a safe, supportive environment. Our instructors are trained to work at your pace, and we provide lessons designed to help you feel confident and comfortable in the water

At KIJIJI Swim, we follow a very specific method of teaching that has been developed in-house - with a strong focus on technique, but also on the creation of an environment in which swimmers can learn as efficiently as possible, and also enjoy themselves in the process.
We have teachers in the water, and limited use of flotation aids in order to encourage body-connection and control.

This is quite subjective — everyone learns at different rates and also has different ideas as to what constitutes being able to swim. I normally recommend swimmers to book 2 six-week courses and then check in with their progress following that.
With that being said, our courses are designed to expedite progress, and also equip swimmers with the tools to practice and improve in their own time.

Unfortunately, as our classes are usually run at capacity it isn’t possible to offer make-up classes. Booking your course means you are reserving your space for that duration of time - this enables to keep our costs fair whilst paying teachers fairly.

For all of our beginner lessons, teachers will be in the water. This is for support and also to provide demonstrations.
